Trent Richardson may not have found much success in the NFL after starring at Alabama, but he’s still playing professional football.

These days, he’s with the Birmingham Iron in the new Alliance of American Football, and on Saturday, he had a big score when his team needed him the most.

As you can see below, he plunged into the end zone on a first-and-goal carry late in the fourth quarter to give the Iron the lead:

The Iron would hold on, winning the game 12-9 over the Salt Lake Stallions to improve to 2-0 on the young season. Richardson has scored in both games.

It’s a long way from the NFL, but it’s nice to see the former Alabama star having success on the field again.
