Since Arkansas hired new coach Chad Morris, the Razorbacks have brought over a couple of different commits from Morris’s SMU class.

Now, though, they’ve lost a commitment from 3-star 2018 RB Jeremy Gibson, who had been committed to Arkansas since June.

The Louisiana native announced on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon that he was decommitting from the Hogs and exploring other options:

According to the 247Sports composite, Gibson is the No. 39 running back in the 2018 class and the No. 34 overall recruit from the state of Louisiana.

Even with Gibson as part of the class, the Hogs were struggling on the recruiting trails. Per 247Sports, the class (which is now down to 11 players) was ranked No. 13 in the SEC and No. 59 in the nation.

Where Gibson ends up next remains to be seen, but he has also drawn interest from Purdue, Texas Tech, UAB and other schools.
