The Arkansas Razorbacks are almost certain to fire coach Bret Bielema after next week’s game against Mizzou, as the Hogs have struggled massively this season. They’ve already fired AD Jeff Long, after all.

However, unless Auburn coach Gus Malzahn jumps ship and heads to Fayetteville, there aren’t many big-name candidates out there for the Hogs. A hire isn’t likely until the AD spot is filled, either, so the Hogs need to move on that first.

Pro golfer John Daly, an Arkansas alum, has an interesting idea for his alma mater, though. As you can see in the tweet below, Daly would like to see former Arkansas coach Houston Nutt come back in the athletic director role:

Nutt recently settled a lawsuit against Ole Miss, another school he previously coached, so it’s unlikely whether he’d be hired by a school, especially as an athletic director, after that mess.

However, he had some good years at Arkansas and reached some heights that the Hogs haven’t reached in the years since. It’ll be interesting to see what direction Arkansas goes this offseason, but Daly has thrown his support behind Nutt.
