Though the old coaching cliche is about taking things one game at a time, it’s impossible not to sometimes look ahead to bigger games.

That’s especially true for Arkansas, who opens the 2017 season with a game against Florida A&M. From there, though, the Razorbacks face big games against TCU and Texas A&M in Weeks 2 and 4, respectively.

Speaking on the Paul Finebaum Show on Tuesday, coach Bret Bielema said the Hogs are particularly excited to head to Texas to take on the Aggies at the Dallas Cowboys’ home stadium:

“To get to go to Jerry’s World, in the year that he’s getting inducted to the National Football Hall of Fame, to get to play there against a team we haven’t beaten yet here at Arkansas — we’ve come close a couple years, but close don’t count — I think our kids are excited and our fan base will be excited,” he said. “When that week comes for preparation, I don’t think we’ll need any extra motivation to get where we need to be.”

If the Razorbacks are going to challenge for an SEC West title this year (no easy task), they need to get off to a good start against division foes.

Beating the Aggies in Arlington would be a big boost for a team hoping to improve on last year’s 7-6 record.
