Drew Sanders was electric in Arkansas’ 44-30 win over South Carolina on Saturday in just his second game with the team, posting career-highs in total tackles (11) and tackles for loss (3.0).

He’s garnered some accolades for the performance, and rightfully so, recently named the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week and was also named the Week 2 Bednarik Award Player of the Week.

“I felt pretty great going into the game,” Sanders said after the game. “I felt comfortable and confident with what our defense had us doing. it just put me in a great position to make plays, and I just did my best to do my job.”

Sanders totals 16 tackles (11 solo), 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 1 pass defended this season. He and the Razorbacks will face Missouri State next on Sept. 17 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
