dGeorgia-product Allen Cater announced he had decommitted from Indiana on Monday, re-opening his recruiting to several teams including Arkansas.

“Right now, I don’t plan on committing soon. The reason why is … I just decommitted and I want to make sure I do the process right,” Cater told WholeHogSports.com. “As far as what schools are on my list, they’re all pretty equal. I do like Arkansas.”

Cater visited Arkansas in early December, so it would seem the Razorbacks are in the running with Cater still set to visit three more schools for his allotted official visits.

Cater is a three-star defensive end prospect from Kennesaw, Ga. At 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, he already has impressive size to play at the collegiate level.

He originally committed to Indiana in June but withdrew that commitment late last week.

Cater said he enjoyed his visit to Fayetteville and was very impressed with the fans. He has built a strong relationship with defensive line coach Rory Segrest and said Arkansas has probably recruited him the hardest.

South Carolina is also showing interest in him, he said.
