Arkansas WR Jarrod Barnes reportedly transferring from program
Arkansas’ depth at receiver took a hit Thursday when a report surfaced that sophomore receiver Jarrod Barnes is planning to leave the program.
The news was reported by Danny West, who covers the Razorbacks for HawgSports.com, 247Sports’ Arkansas website.
Can confirm that Arkansas WR Jarrod Barnes has asked for his release and is leaving the program. He hasn't yet decided on his next stop. Wish him the best. #HawgSports

Barnes hadn’t carved out a role in first-year coach Chad Morris’ offense, failing to appear in a single game this season. As a freshman in 2017, Barnes played only in the season opener, in which he caught two passes for 30 yards.
It’s currently unclear where Barnes, a consensus 3-star prospect who was one of the better players from Arkansas in the 2017 class, will seek to transfer.
The Razorbacks (2-7, 0-5 SEC) will host No. 7 LSU (7-2, 4-2) at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
