Arkansas and former Missouri defensive coordinator Barry Odom has reportedly agreed to take the vacant head coaching position at UNLV.

Odom, a former Missouri linebacker and longtime defensive coach, will be taking over a UNLV program that has won just 7 games in the past 3 seasons. The Running Rebels have had 2 winning seasons since 2000.

This will  be Odom’s 2nd head coaching gig. He was the head coach at Missouri for 4 years from 2016-2019.

Arkansas struggled on defense this season, but has certainly had its bright sports. Drew Sanders comes to mind, one of the best players in the conference who recently announced he would be entering the 2023 NFL Draft.

Odom has a 25-25 record as a head coach.
