The Arkansas Razorbacks have had a down year, and head coach Bret Bielema believes the key to solving their struggles is easy to see.

The Razorbacks defense has been a problem for much of this season. The Hogs have started 0-4 in SEC play while allowing 40 or more points in every SEC game. The last defeat was a 52-20 home loss to No. 21 Auburn.

Arkansas had battled throughout the first half and went into the locker room trailing the Tigers 17-6. It was not a great start, but the Razorbacks had a chance to get back into the game. However, any remaining drama was put to bed as Auburn outscored Arkansas 28-7 in the third quarter.

It was particularly disappointing play coming out of halftime, and Bielema believes the Hogs have to play better in the second half:

It is also worth noting that the Razorbacks haven’t played particularly well in the first half either. The Hogs were trailing TCU, South Carolina, Alabama, and Auburn heading into the half of each of those games while carrying a slim lead into halftime against Texas A&M.

The Razorbacks will look to get their first SEC win of the year when they take on Ole Miss this weekend. Saturday’s kickoff is set for 12 pm EST on the SEC Network.
