Chad Morris has brought a lot of energy to the Arkansas Razorbacks since being hired to replace Bret Bielema, often seeming to run around even more than his players during practices.

So, what’s the method to Morris’s madness during practices? That’s what Paul Finebaum asked him during Monday’s episode of “The Paul Finebaum Show.”

Morris said he wants to make sure his energy is setting the tone for his players and his staff.

“It’s just the way I’m wired,” he said. “I’m a very positive person in that I know we’ve got to get our work in. Maybe that’s just the high school guy in me, but they’ve got to know you care and love them.

“I make it a point to go and visit with every guy during stretching and practice. I tell these guys — you’re 18 and 19 years old and you’ll never have as much energy as me. I set the tone for the players and our staff. That’s the expectation.”

Morris certainly does a good job of setting the tone, and we’ll see if that energy carries over to the field this fall.
