In a season that has been about as rocky as could be, Arkansas finally got some good news Wednesday.

Razorbacks coach Chad Morris said during the SEC Coaches Teleconference that quarterback Ty Storey should play against Tulsa after being unsure of his status earlier in the week. The junior signal-caller took a beating in Arkansas’ loss to Ole Miss last Saturday and ultimately left the game in the fourth quarter, but he has apparently healed quickly enough to play this weekend.

“He has been cleared to go,” Morris said. “We anticipate him to go on Saturday.”

Arkansas (1-6) hosts Tulsa (1-5) at noon ET on Saturday looking to snap its six-game losing streak. Here’s everything else Morris said during Wednesday’s teleconference.

On the fourth-quarter woes:

  • When those pressure situations arise, our fundamentals have to come up. They have to hold up under pressure. That’s something we will harp on and continue to coach them up.

On the No. 2 QB:

  • Cole Kelley has his package. He and Connor Noland will continue to get reps. It will be about the feel of the game.

On DB Ryan Pulley:

  • Ryan, we will handle the discipline within our building. He will miss some playing time on Saturday.

On RB Rakeem Boyd:

  • He looked good in practice. … He wanted to come back in on Saturday, but our training staff held him back for his safety.

On any advice he’s received from other coaches:

  • The thing is you stay the course, believe in what has gotten you to where you are. … The progress is hard to see outside the building sometimes, but we will continue to stay the course.
