The coach most likely set to be named the 2020 SEC Coach of the Year looks to be sidelined for at least a game.

That’s because Arkansas has announced head coach Sam Pittman has tested positive for COVID. This news comes after Arkansas beat Tennessee 24-13 on Saturday, improving the Razorbacks’ record to 3-3 on the season.

The good news is Pittman is asymptomatic and has already isolated at home, according to Arkansas.

With Pittman sidelined for the time being, defensive coordinator Barry Odom has been named interim head coach for Arkansas. The Razorbacks are set to travel to Florida this Saturday.

Of course, there is a chance Pittman returns in time for that game. Pittman would need to test negative for COVID three times in a row, as Nick Saban did leading up to the Georgia game.
