Eric Musselman came to Arkansas this offseason from Nevada, replacing longtime Razorback coach Mike Anderson.

Now, he’s working on assembling his roster and his coaching staff. On Friday, he made a big hire for his first Razorback staff.

Per ArkansasRazorbacks.com, Musselman is bringing in Chris Crutchfield to be his associate head coach:

“We’re excited to have Coach Crutchfield on staff,” Musselman said. “He’s one of the best recruiters and coaches in the country as proven by the Sooners being a mainstay in the NCAA Tournament. He has worked for an all-time great coach in Lon Kruger. Coach Crutchfield and Coach (Corey) Williams will make a great team at the University of Arkansas.”

Crutchfield spent the last eight years as the associate head coach at Oklahoma, but will now move over to Arkansas to work with Musselman.

The Sooners made it to the NCAA Tournament in six of the last seven years and went all the way to the Final Four in 2016. Crutchfield will try to help Musselman instill that kind of consistency in Fayetteville.
