After spending last season on injury reserve, former Arkansas WR Javontee Herndon is getting a shot with a new team, the Dallas Cowboys, according to 247Sports.

The Cowboys will be Herndon’s second team in the NFL. An undrafted free agent, Herndon was signed by the San Diego Chargers in 2014. He was on the Chargers practice squad until midseason 2015 when he was called up due to an injury to Keenan Allen. In eight games, including two starts, Herndon caught 24 passes for 195 yards. He also logged one rushing attempt for 13 yards as well as 157 kick return yards and 81 punt return yards.

Unfortunately, Herndon was placed on injured reserve on Aug. 30, 2016 and did not see any snaps last season. He faces stiff competition to make the roster in Dallas, where the Cowboys have a deep receiving corps. Earlier this summer, Herndon worked out for the Houston Texans.
