Not even Bill Belichick seems to know what Bret Bielema's role will be with New England
Not even Bill Belichick seems to know what a “consultant to the head coach” is responsible for managing.
Despite that fact, the New England coach has added Bret Bielema to his Patriot coaching roster in that specific role this offseason following the former Razorbacks coach’s dismissal in Fayetteville. During his Wednesday media availability, Belichick was asked about adding Bielema to the staff.
Here’s the “answer” the New England coach came up with.
“Yeah, Bret did some things for us in the spring, and going forward, we’ll kind of see how it goes,” Belichick said. “I’m sure it will kind of work its way into some areas. I’m not even sure exactly what all those are at this point. But we’ll see how it goes.”
Okay then.
It’s not hard to believe Belichick isn’t being completely transparent here but be the judge for yourself by watching the segment of his recent media availability where he discusses Bielema below:
