Arkansas is preparing to take on Penn State in the Outback Bowl, set for New Year’s Day in Tampa.

One player on the Nittany Lions’ roster that Razorbacks fans likely immediately keyed in on was Jahan Dotson. The wide receiver was an all Big Ten first-team selection as he recorded 1,182 yards in 2021, the 2nd-highest single-season total in program history.

But Dotson has played his final down in a Penn State uniform. The senior on Monday announced on Twitter that he would skip the Outback Bowl and instead prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft:

Dotson’s 183 career receptions and 2,757 career receiving yards are 4th most in Penn State history, with his 91 catches in 2021 the program’s 3rd-most in a single season. His 22 career touchdown catches is tied for 3rd all-time in the program’s record books, while he holds the school record for most receiving yards in a game with 242, set against Maryland this year.
