Sam Pittman praises offensive line, reacts to strong win over South Carolina
Arkansas took care of business in its SEC opener Saturday, dispatching South Carolina, 44-30.
Sam Pittman was pleased with his team’s performance Saturday in a raucous atmosphere. He noted the play of running back Rocket Sanders and an incredible performance from the Razorbacks offensive line, which helped Sanders and company rush for 295 yards on the ground.
Sanders totaled 156 of those 295 yards.
“I think he’s becoming an all-around back a little bit more,” Pittman said postgame on Sanders. “I thought he played really really well.”
Pittman went on to praise the student section, which he said is always there and loud ready for gameday.
It wasn’t all good news on an overwhelmingly good day for the No. 19 Razorbacks. Pittman also confirmed that freshman linebacker Jalen Catalon is out for the season with a shoulder injury.
Sam Pittman confirms it: “Jalen Catalon is having reconstruction surgery on his shoulder and is done for the year. He’s really down and I’m down for him.”
