Administrators and fans both know that decommitments are coming when a head coach is fired. For Arkansas, the tally has grown to three since Chad Morris was dismissed on Sunday.

The third recruit to back off his Razorbacks pledge is Austin, Texas wide receiver Mason Magnum. The Westlake product shared the news via his Twitter account.

“I’m so grateful for Coach Morris, Coach Stepp, Coach Smith and the entire staff at Arkansas for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be a Razorback,” Magnum wrote. “This is tough to do… in light of today’s news I have decided I will be reopening my recruitment,” before ending his decommitment note with “WPS.”

Magnum is listed at 5-11, 171 pounds and rated the No. 111 Texas recruit, No. 132 wide receiver and No. 827 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite for the class of 2020. He has 11 scholarship offers, including Vanderbilt.

Magnum committed to Arkansas on April 6 and took an official visit in June. His most recent scholarship offer came from SMU.

The Razorbacks are down to 11 commitments for 2020 after Sunday’s three decommitments.
