The Razorbacks aren’t getting much respect heading into this one.

Arkansas may have lost six games in a row after winning the season opener against Eastern Illinois, but that fact only doesn’t delve into the improvements of Chad Morris’ first Arkansas team. While the season could have quickly turned into a disaster of Titanic proportions, the Razorbacks have come back and fought harder and harder to gain respect in SEC play.

While the Razorbacks have yet to win a league game to this point of the season, the offense appears to have found its stride under Ty Storey. The only problem is his status for the upcoming homecoming game against Tulsa has yet to be determined at this point after he was injured against Ole Miss. Morris indicated that Storey will continue to be evaluated and that his status will be finalized later in the week.

Without the status of Storey being made public under Arkansas’ press conference on Monday, sportsbooks held back on offering a gambling line for the upcoming game against Tulsa. Now that line is out and Arkansas is listed as a 3.5-point favorite at home over Tulsa.

Keep in mind Tulsa is only 1-5 on the season.

That record could be a bit deceiving though, as Tulsa lost last week to a ranked USF team 25-24 and has another single-digit loss at Texas, which is now ranked in the top 10. Interestingly enough, Tulsa has also faced Arkansas State this season, losing by a score of 29-20.

Either way, whether Tulsa is underrated or not, that line is a sad indication of where the Arkansas football program currently stands seven games into the Morris era in Fayetteville.
