Chad Morris got his first win over an FBS opponent as Arkansas head coach on Saturday with the Razorbacks’ 23-0 win over Tulsa in Fayetteville. While it may have been his first such win, it won’t be his last and the first-year Arkansas coach delivered a message to his future players that will help him deliver far more to Razorback fans in the seasons to come.

These comments came in his post-game press conference following the win.

“Just look at the passion, just look at the love for this university that’s all across our state. You can walk and feel it and see it. It’s evident.  I just say open your eyes and open your ears. What we are doing in this program in building a foundation and what great things that are coming… to be part of something special.”

With the win over Tulsa, Arkansas is now 2-6 on the season. The Razorbacks also currently have a top 20 recruiting class for the 2019 recruiting cycle with eyes on adding more elite prospects to the class before the early signing period arrives.
