Chad Morris was introduced as the new head coach of the Razorbacks Thursday, and it definitely sounds like his time as a high school coach has helped prepare him for some of the challenges of the SEC.

Morris spent 16 seasons in Texas as a high school coach before making the jump to the college ranks. His first job in college football came at Tulsa, but it was his time as a high school coach that he believes will help him as a recruiter.

During his introductory press conference, Morris highlighted that his experience will help him relate better to the high school coaches around Arkansas. Relating to those coaches will help him build trust with coaches, players, and families across the board.

He also pointed out he will value and attempt to develop a relationship with every high school coach in Arkansas. To Morris, it is not simply about which prospects are currently at a school, but it is about building a lasting relationship with the coach and his program.
