4-star Mississippi DE signs with Auburn over in-state Rebels and Bulldogs
Gus Malzahn managed to get into enemy territory and land one of its best prospects.
Mississippi DE Derick Hall signed with the Tigers over Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Florida State was also in the running.
Listed at 6-3, 216 pounds, Hall is a 4-star recruit rated the No. 10 Mississippi product, No. 12 weak-side defensive end and No. 181 prospect overall nationally in the 2019 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite. The Gulfport product received 15 total scholarship offers. The Rebels made a late push to keep Hall closer to home, hosting him on campus Dec. 8 and visiting him at home on Dec. 14.
