Auburn has lost another offensive playmaker as WR Seth Williams is expected to enter the NFL Draft, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of AL.com.

Williams was Auburn’s leading receiver in the 2020 season with 760 receiving yards and four touchdowns with 47 catches. That was more than 120 yards than the No. 2 receiver Anthony Schwartz, who has already announced his plans to leave for the NFL.

As the Auburn offense is remade under new coach Bryan Harsin and incumbent QB Bo Nix, the Tigers will need to find new primary targets.

Williams’ season was largely reflective of the Auburn offense as he didn’t have a game with at least 75 receiving yards since the Ole Miss game on Oct 24. In the final six games, he had just two games with as many as five catches, and in that span, he had just one touchdown.

His 2020 production was a drop off from 2019, as he entered this past season 17th in Auburn career receiving with 1,364 yards and 19th in career receptions (85). Last season, he made 59 receptions for 830 yards and eight scores.
