Auburn adds former North Texas LB out of transfer portal
No, you’re not seeing double, Auburn fans.
Just hours after adding former North Texas wide receiver Jyaire Shorter out of the transfer portal, the Tigers earned a commitment from fellow North Texas linebacker Larry Nixon III.
Nixon is a big-time get for head coach Hugh Freeze and the Tigers. The former Mean Green standout has accumulated over 240 tackles across his 4-year playing career. In 2022, Nixon finished with 105 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and a sack.
He released a video announcing his commitment to Auburn Tuesday evening:

Auburn has added 18 total transfers this offseason, including former Ole Miss linebacker Austin Keys and former LSU linebacker DeMario Tolan.
Nixon explained why Auburn was his choice to 247Sports prior to his commitment. Here’s what he had to say:
“Right now, it’s up there right now,” Nixon III said. “Being in Auburn, it’s crazy. You can’t beat that stadium, being in the SEC.”

Auburn is racking up the North Texas reclamation projects. That’s cute.
I feel so sorry for your inbred parents.
Your most successful season was 11-2
How is it that you’re more of joke than your football program?
Auburn watched Philly try to re-create the ‘21 UGA Defense. They said… “Why can’t we do the same thing with North Texas?”
