The busy offseason on the Plains continued this week as Auburn has announced several new moves to Gus Malzahn’s administrative staff Thursday. In total, the program has hired three for three positions, made a promotion and shuffled two others.

Patrick Suddes is moving from director of player personnel to assistant athletic director for football. Stefan Schmidt will take over Suddes’ former position.

“I’m blessed to work for Coach Malzahn, and to work with this staff,” Suddes said in a statement posted on the team’s website. “Auburn is a great place. It’s a blessing to be here. I’m going to embrace this new role and look forward to serving. I’m excited for the upcoming season.”

The new hires include former Cincinnati defensive tackles coach Kenny Ingram. Ingram will serve as director of player relations.

Brett Whiteside transitions to a new role as director of football operations after formally serving as the team’s director of recruiting operations. Coming from Georgia is Auburn graduate Mollie Moore. She will take over that role from Whiteside.

Former Auburn offensive lineman Jorrell Bostrom receives a promotion to director of player development.

“We have a great staff in place and the addition of Kelly, Mollie and Stefan, combined with the new duties for Pat, Brett and Jorrell are going to be very beneficial for our program and our players,” Malzahn said.
