Nick Coe has played his last game as an Auburn Tiger. The junior BUCK announced on Friday via Instagram that he will be foregoing his remaining eligibility at AU, including the Outback Bowl.

Coe’s note includes a reference to the NFL, but he does not spell out whether he will be transferring to another college program or declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft. In the note, Coe states, “Hopefully, my time at Auburn will be a foundation for success in pursuing my long standing dream of playing in the NFL.”

Coe’s playing time decreased in 2019, resulting in a statistically down season compared to 2017 (29 tackles, 4.5 for loss, 2 sacks, 6 QB hurries) and 2018 (27 tackles, 13.5 TFL, 7 sacks, 3 QB hurries). This season, Coe played in 11 games, recording 15 total tackles, including 3 TFL, along with 3 QB hurries.

Gus Malzahn’s squad will face Minnesota in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1 in Tampa.
