The Auburn Tigers (4-4, 1-4 in the SEC) have lost two consecutive SEC games by eight points each with a chance to possibly tie both on the last play. They hope to reverse that trend when they visit Texas A&M for a 7:30 p.m. (ET) kickoff Saturday at Kyle Field. The Aggies (6-2, 3-2 in the SEC) ended a two-game skid of their own last week with a 35-28 victory over South Carolina. Bowl hopes remain for Auburn, but the Tigers must capture two of the remaining four games left on the schedule.

Here are five Tigers who hope to make a positive impact on Saturday’s game:

  1. QB Sean White: Gutting it out last week with his swollen knee in a brace, White displayed the will to be an impact player. He threw for a season-high 258 yards against Ole Miss, including his first TD pass of the season. Over the past three games, White has been consistent in passing for 255, 254 and 258 yards respectively against Kentucky, Arkansas and Ole Miss.
  2. WR Ricardo Louis: The Tigers’ top receiver, Lewis came up with some explosive plays last week against Ole Miss. Including his 47-yard TD reception, Louis averaged a season-high 34.3 yards per haul on four catches. For the season, Louis has piled up 563 yards and two touchdowns on 36 receptions.
  3. K Daniel Carlson: Last week, Carlson broke a 46-year-old school record by kicking his fourth field goal of 50 yards or more. Carlson’s 52-yarder in the first quarter, the first of four field goals in the game, broke the record set by John “Rat” Riley in 1969. Carlson has connected on 14 of 17 field goal tries and is a perfect 24-for-24 in PAT attempts.
  4. DE Carl Lawson: Returning last week from a hip injury that sidelined the Tigers’ defensive leader in the first half of the season opener, Lawson assisted on one tackle and was credited with three quarterback hurries. His leadership on the field is a boost to the Tigers defense.
  5. RB Peyton Barber: Expected to start on Saturday after sitting out much of last week’s loss to Ole Miss, Barber looks to return to form as the Tigers’ top rushing option. With 787 yards and 12 TDs so far this season, Barber is averaging 98.4 yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry.
