Auburn K Daniel Carlson thinks he could have made 2013 Iron Bowl kick that cost Alabama the game
In the 2013 Iron Bowl, Alabama K Adam Griffith lined up for a 57-yard field goal with only seconds remaining in a tie game against Auburn, but the kick came up short.
We all know what happened next, as Auburn’s Chris Davis returned the kick 109 yards for a touchdown, a game-winning play that went down in history as the “Kick-Six.”
However, if Saturday afternoon’s game between the bitter SEC West rivals comes down to another late kick, Auburn K Daniel Carlson believes he can make the long-range attempt:
Could Daniel Carlson have made that last kick in the 2013 Iron Bowl: "I like to think so. Maybe I'll get an opportunity this Saturday."

This year’s edition of the Iron Bowl will likely be a close one, as both No. 1 Alabama and No. 6 Auburn have legitimate College Football Playoff hopes.
Special teams will play a big role in deciding who wins, and when it comes to kickers, there haven’t been many better than Carlson this season.
