The Auburn Tigers’ new $28 million game-day facility is nearing completion.

As part of the project — the main new facility is placed in the southwest corner of the stadium and is approximately 44,000 square feet — Auburn’s locker room underwent a 16,000 square foot renovation. The new square footage is double the size of the original one. The former recruiting lounge was removed to make more room for the locker room renovation.

The renovation was expected to create a more open feel to emphasize unity while tell the story of Auburn’s rich football heritage, per AL.com.
