Auburn QB signee Bo Nix is the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2019, and he certainly played like it this year.

While leading Pinson Valley to its second title in a row, Nix set state records for total offensive yards and total touchdowns — impressive accomplishments in a football-rich state like Alabama.

On Tuesday, he was recognized for those accomplishments by being named Alabama’s Mr. Football award winner for 2018:

Per 247Sports, Nix’s record-setting career did include some jaw-dropping numbers:

In addition to leading Pinson Valley High to back-to-back Class 6A state championships, Nix produced state records for career total offense with 12,505 yards and touchdowns (161). He was named Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior as he passed for 3,807 yards and 50 TDs while adding 417 yards and seven TDs on the ground.

Nix will be in the mix to start for Auburn next fall, competing alongside Malik Willis, Cord Sandberg, Joey Gatewood and perhaps a graduate transfer.
