Watch out SEC, the Tigers have now won six games in a row as Auburn is heading to the league’s final four in Nashville. The Tigers join Florida as the only two teams to have won two games in the tournament up to this point after beating #4 seed South Carolina 73-64 on Friday.

Auburn fought off two early runs by the Gamecocks to tie the game up at the halftime break and won the second half in order to punch their ticket to the semifinals in Nashville. With Florida upsetting LSU in the previous game, Auburn’s path to the title game also looks much more manageable.

Jared Harper led the way for the Tigers with 27 points on six of 13 shooting and making 12 of 14 free throws. Bryce Brown also had a strong outing as he chipped in 19 points for the Tigers. The Tigers come with a reputation as three-point shooters and they didn’t disappoint as the team made 13 triples in the game.

Chuma Okeke had only four points in the game, with two of those coming at the free throw line. Two of the team’s other starters, Anfernee McLemore and Malik Dunbar didn’t even score in the game. Considering one of the team’s starters

While the fatigue of playing three games in three days is something that can often affect teams that reach the semifinal round, Auburn won’t be hampered with that disadvantage as Florida will be dealing with that same situation in the next round of the tournament. Thanks to Pearl’s use of depth of his roster, you could argue the Tigers will be the team at an advantage going up against the Gators.

The Auburn-Florida game is set to be played at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT on ESPN.
