Auburn and Ole Miss will meet for the 47th time, dating back to 1928. The Tigers lead the all-time series 35-10 and are 13-2 in Oxford, including a current 6-game winning streak. It’s been a historic start for the Rebels as they are 6-0, and the last time Ole Miss started 6-0 without having to vacate wins was 1962. The Rebels are ranked No. 9 in the AP Top 25 Poll.
The Tigers were 31-20 winners last season at Jordan-Hare Stadium, and Auburn was a 35-28 winner in the teams’ last meeting in Oxford during the 2020 season. On offense, Jaxson Dart leads the SEC and ranks fifth in the FBS in yards per completion (14.9), but ran into a couple of interceptions last week in the win over Vanderbilt.
“I’d really like him to not throw the ball to the other team,” Kiffin said. “That would be a big improvement from last week. … He has done really, really good things. (The interceptions have) been the glaring thing.”
