Gus Malzahn is bringing back some Auburn legends to speak to his Tigers team during fall camp.

Hall of Fame basketball player Charles Barkley and former NFL linebacker Takeo Spikes have both returned to Auburn’s campus to meet with the team during the first few weeks of camp. Both players had success in their respective sports while playing for the Tigers and after moving on to the pros.

Malzahn shared his thanks with Barkley and Spikes for returning to speak on Twitter:

Barkley played three seasons at Auburn from 1981-84. He went on to be an 11-time All-Star during his 16-year NBA career with the Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets.

Spikes played two seasons for the Tigers from 1996-97. He went on to play 15 seasons in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers.

These former Tigers returned to campus to speak to a team that is looking to build off a strong 2017 season. Auburn went 10-4 last season, reaching the SEC championship game after beating both Georgia and Alabama during the regular season.
