Chayil Garnett has found his new home.

The former Auburn quarterback announced his transfer commitment to Tennessee State on Monday, two months after entering the NCAA transfer portal.

“When God had a plan for you, You follow! Nashville let’s work,” Garnett posted.

If you missed the news this offseason, Tennessee State hired former Ohio State Heisman Trophy winner and Tennessee Titans star running back, Eddie George, to serve as the new head coach of the program.

Garnett signed with Auburn as a member of the program’s 2020 recruiting class. He picked the Tigers over scholarship offers from Duke, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, and Temple, among others. He did not make an appearance on the field during his only season with Auburn.

Garnett left Auburn after participating in the first spring practice of the Bryan Harsin era. Following his departure from the program, Auburn added former LSU quarterback TJ Finley to its roster.
