After his Auburn career was plagued by injuries, DB Joshua Holsey was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, where he’s impressed coaches so far.

However, he’s still thinking about his Tiger teammates, tweeting on Thursday that he believes the Auburn secondary will be the best in the country this fall:

That’s a bold claim, as Auburn doesn’t have many big-name defensive backs returning to the mix in 2017.

S Tray Matthews will likely be the leader of the unit, with guys like Carlton Davis and Javaris Davis contributing at the corner position.

It’s still early, so anything is possible, but Holsey’s former teammates will have a lot of work to do to reach elite status when the 2017 season kicks off in a couple of months.
