The Auburn defense is losing some key players this offseason to the NFL Draft, including DL Derrick Brown, DL Marlon Davidson, LB Nick Coe, DB Javaris Davis, DB Daniel Thomas and DB Noah Igbinoghene.

However, new players are going to have to step up to keep Kevin Steele’s defense chugging along in 2020.

Recently, Davis spoke with The Spun and named 2 defensive backs he thinks will have huge 2020 seasons:

The Spun: Auburn is losing a handful of key defensive players to the upcoming draft. Who do you think will be the next star of the Auburn defense next season?

JD: I’m definitely going to say Christian Tutt and Jamien Sherwood.

Tutt was a talented return specialist last year. He also recorded 32 tackles and had 2 interceptions. Sherwood had 43 tackles and 5 pass breakups.

Will that duo fare even better this fall? Davis seems to think so.
