Sad news to report out of Auburn this Thursday, as 52-year-old Kenny Pollard, a former receiver for the Tigers, has reportedly passed away.

Per The Auburn Plainsman, Pollard died on Saturday, Oct. 15, in Columbus, Mississippi.

Pollard played for the Tigers on two of Pat Dye’s SEC championship-winning squads in the mid-1980s.

Pollard’s funeral was full of Auburn colors, celebrating his time with the program, per The Plainsman:

At Pollard’s funeral on Friday, Oct. 18, in Millport, all attendees were asked to wear orange and blue for “his Auburn Tigers,” according to the obituary.

He is survived by his wife, three children and three grandchildren.
