Soon after returning from spring break, Auburn caught some terrible news as it was discovered that rising junior Eli Stove would be lost for the spring due to a torn ACL.

News of the injury was first reported this week but has since been confirmed by Gus Malzahn during his Thursday media availability. According to Malzahn, the team hopes to have Stove back in time for the fall. Malzahn’s comments come via Greg Ostendorf of AuburnTigers.com.

In his two seasons on campus, Stove has emerged as one of Auburn’s most versatile athletes on offense. He’s caught 52 passes for 489 yards and rushed the ball 41 times for 935 yards and three scores.
