Gus Malzahn discusses Auburn's first scrimmage of the spring
The Auburn Tigers held their first scrimmage of the spring on Saturday, giving coach Gus Malzahn a good chance to see his 2018 squad in live action for the first time.
Obviously, it was without QB Jarrett Stidham, who continues to recover from offseason shoulder surgery, but it was still a good way for the Tigers to shake off the rust.
Here’s what Malzahn had to say following Saturday’s debut 2018 scrimmage:
On the overall layout of the scrimmage:
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn is here to talk about the Tigers' first scrimmage of the plays. Said the team ran 100 plays and ran eight live FGs, four live punt returns, three live kickoff returns.

On getting the offensive line to the same level as the defensive line:
Malzahn on the OL: "We have one of the best defensive lines in college football but we try to strive to have one of the best OL in college football too." However…Tigers HC doesn't seem too worried about anything other than the 5 total turnovers today. #MGMAuburn
