Hugh Freeze is bringing some familiar faces along to The Plains.

FootballScoop reported Thursday that Freeze has offered positions at Auburn to 8 members of his Liberty staff. All 8 are expected to join the AU staff:

Kent Austin – co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks at Liberty

Maurice Harris – co-offensive coordinator / receivers at Liberty

Ben Aigamaua – tight ends at Liberty

Jeremy Garrett – defensive line at Liberty

Dom Studzinski – associate head coach – strength at Liberty

Matt Blevins – chief of staff at Liberty

AK Mogulla – director of player personnel at Liberty

Kennedy Harvey – director of recruiting analytics and operations at Liberty

Harris, Aigamaua and Studzinski have ties to the Freeze era at Ole Miss. Aigamaua and Harris left positions at Ole Miss to join Freeze’s initial Liberty staff in December 2018.

FootballScoop’s report notes that some of the Liberty staffers could have different titles at Auburn in potential analyst roles. It was reported earlier Thursday that Garrett has been hired as the Tigers’ new defensive line coach.

Liberty posted a 34-15 in 4 seasons under Freeze. The Flames are set to play in a bowl game for the 4th consecutive season after going 8-4 in 2022.
