Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham had a solid debut in the Tigers’ Week 1 win over Georgia Southern last weekend, throwing for 185 yards and two touchdowns in the 41-7 victory.

He also ran nine times for 17 yards and a touchdown — not exactly the best numbers, but not terrible either.

This week, as the Tigers head to Death Valley to take on Clemson, Stidham is going to have to do more with his legs if Auburn is going to upset the defending national champion.

According to College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit, Stidham’s legs can really help the Auburn offense find success on Saturday night.

“Now he’s got to do it against the Clemson defense,” he said. “Stidham’s an athlete. He can run, but if he gets into those obvious passing situations, it’s going to be tough to get going.”

The No. 13 Auburn Tigers take on the No. 3 Clemson Tigers at 7 p.m. Eastern time tonight at Clemson. The game can be seen on ESPN.
