A-Day has been an eventful one for Auburn both on and off the field.

The Tigers landed a commitment from a 3-star offensive linemen prospect a few hours before they took to the field for their annual spring scrimmage, and they added another prospect after the final whistle blew.

Kolbi Fuqua, a 3-star athlete prospect who projects to play wide receiver at the next level, announced his commitment to Auburn on Saturday afternoon, shortly after the Tigers offense put on a solid passing display.

After his commitment, Fuqua shared to al.com his thoughts on the A-Day scrimmage.

“I loved the new quarterback,” Fuqua told al.com about Jarrett Stidham. “He can throw. He’s good. (My visit) was good. I liked it. I saw the new offense that Coach (Chip) Lindsey put in and I liked it. He passed the ball a lot, which is what I really enjoy.”

Fuqua is the sixth commitment for Auburn’s Class of 2018, and he is rated as the No. 41 athlete prospect in his class by the 247Sports Composite Ranking.
