When Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson scored two touchdowns in the first quarter of the Tigers’ 51-14 road win over Mizzou, he was already having a good day.

When he then added two more touchdowns in the second quarter, he was having an outstanding day.

When he scored once more in the third quarter to bring his touchdown total to five, he was having an unbelievable day.

However, in the aftermath of the lopsided win, Johnson downplayed his jaw-dropping performance, telling ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM that he was put in positions to succeed:

“I just try to be efficient,” he says with a laugh, before adding that his offense puts him in situations to be successful. “I love it when they do that.”

Auburn’s backfield, which featured Johnson and Kam Martin on Saturday night, will get a boost when Kamryn Pettway returns to the lineup.

With so many weapons, more five-touchdown games for the Tigers may be coming in the next few weeks.
