If you watched Auburn’s win over Louisville on Saturday, you probably noticed the Tigers’ new chrome decals on helmets, orange cleats and bright socks under the fluorescent lights inside the Georgia Dome.

This pre-game photo of wide receiver Duke Williams from SEC Network’s John Hayes is a perfect example of a player’s need to assessorcize from head to toe on gameday:

What did Auburn coach Gus Malzahn think of his team’s Under Armour fashion statement during opening weekend?

You can imagine he had his reservations.

“I’m just going to say this — our players really like it OK,” Malzahn said during his Monday radio show, according to AL.com. “The players like it. We won, so we may wear them again, but the players really like it. It’s going to take me a little bit of getting used to that deal now… The players really like it.”

Malzahn comes from a different era, one not as hip as gameday garb in 2015. Less is more with the old-school mentality,

Like many teams under the Under Armour umbrella, Auburn’s 2015 thread updates include multi-colored cleats (instead of the primary black or white-based shoe), armbands, striped socks and gloves.

That’s a good look. #WarEagle @uafootball
