South Carolina OC Mike Bobo is a hot commodity on the coaching market right now, it seems.

After serving as the Gamecocks’ offensive coordinator under Will Muschamp in 2020, he was retained on staff by new head coach Shane Beamer, earning a 2-year deal worth $1.2 million annually.

Now, though, Bobo is at the top of the wish list for another first-year SEC head coach, according to FootballScoop.com:

Sources tell FootballScoop Bryan Harsin is seeking to bring South Carolina offensive coordinator Mike Bobo in for the Auburn offensive coordinator position.

Bobo’s one year at South Carolina didn’t end up with a great record for the Gamecocks, but RB Kevin Harris did turn into a star under Bobo’s play-calling.

Could something similar with Auburn RB Tank Bigsby be why Harsin is potentially interested in hiring Bobo away from the Gamecocks?
