QB/WR John Franklin III didn’t live up to expectations at Auburn, but the speedy athlete has bounced around on the Chicago Bears’ roster during the 2018 season.
Now a defensive back, Franklin will apparently be sticking around in the NFL ranks for a little while longer, at least.
Per 247Sports reporter Allan Bell, Franklin was signed to a reserve/future contract by the Bears on Tuesday afternoon:

Franklin played at Florida State, East Mississippi Community College (where he starred on Last Chance U), Auburn and Florida Atlantic during his nomadic college career.
Will he hang on with the Bears for another season? Only time will tell.
