SEC Network wonders if Auburn QB Jeremy Johnson is impaired after INT
Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson has thrown four interceptions in six quarters, and had another interception erased due to an offsides penalty.
After his latest pick, SEC Network color commentator Matt Stinchcomb questioned whether the Tigers quarterback has something physically wrong with him. (Check the audio in the Vine below.)
“You genuinely start to wonder if his vision is somehow impaired,” Stinchcomb said.
Before the season, some writers (including this one) pushed Johnson as a potential Heisman Trophy candidate. The SEC media picked Auburn to win the conference this summer. But at halftime, Auburn is losing to FCS school Jacksonville State.
A big reason why? Johnson continues to miss open receivers and doesn’t seem to notice linebackers floating in zone coverage.
Twitter already has started to hammer Johnson (predictably):
Never saw what everyone talked about with Jeremy Johnson. Still don't see it like he doesn't see linebackers in passing lanes.

Thinking the "Jeremy Johnson" Heisman train might have derailed.

Jeremy Johnson has not proven to me that he is up-to-date with what this year's jerseys look like #AreWeWhiteOrBlue #WhoCanTell
