On Monday, the Houston Texans announced that they had swapped one SEC receiver for another, signing former Auburn Tiger Quan Bray and waiving former Alabama receiver DeAndre White.

White was participating in his second training camp with Houston and caught one pass for two yards in the Texans’ preseason opener, a 17-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday.

White signed with the San Francisco 49ers following the conclusion of the 2015 NFL Draft and played in four games primarily as a special teams player. He signed with the New England Patriots the following year and was a member of the practice squad when New England defeated the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI.

Bray also went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft and signed as a free agent with the Indianapolis Colts. He played in six games for the Colts in 2016, recording three receptions for 36 yards and also returned nine kicks. Bray was then injured and subsequently placed on injured reserve for the 2016 and 2017 seasons before being released with an injury settlement.

Bray then signed with the Buffalo Bills as a practice squad player for the remainder of the 2017 season before being released the following year. Now, he gets another chance in the NFL with the Texans.
