WATCH: Former Auburn WR Duke Williams makes two incredible catches during CFL game
Former Auburn WR Duke Williams didn’t hear his name called during the 2017 NFL Draft, but he hasn’t let that stop him from getting his pro career started.
Williams signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League and has made an immediate impact for his new squad.
On Friday night, the rookie wide out made four catches for 110 yards and a touchdown, but couldn’t help the Eskimos overcome the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, as the Blue Bombers held on for a 33-26 victory.
Williams’ most impressive catch of the night was probably this 33-yard touchdown grab, as he corralled the ball after it was tipped by a Winnipeg defender:

However, this grab, which didn’t go for a touchdown, was equally impressive:

Though the Eskimos lost, they are still 7-1 on the season and may have a budding star in Williams. For the season, Williams now has 20 catches for 392 yards and two scores.
