Zac Etheridge, Auburn DB coach, squashes Georgia rumors with emphatic announcement
Zac Etheridge is staying put.
Auburn’s secondary coach and recruiting coordinator under Bryan Harsin, a report surfaced early in the week that Etheridge was a candidate for Georgia’s open DB coach spot. Saturday evening, Etheridge squashed those rumors with an announcement on Twitter.
He released a brief video that included an emphatic announcement that he is all in with the Tigers:

Etheridge spent time at Houston, Louisiana, and Western Carolina before coming to Auburn via Harsin’s staff. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant for Bill O’Brien at Penn State. Etheridge had 261 career tackles during his playing career at Auburn and was a member of the Tigers’ 2010 national championship team.
Now that the Harsin saga is over with his return set for 2022, keeping Etheridge at Auburn is a good win for the Tigers. It will be interesting to see if they can build off of this heading into the season.
